What is the process to get my loan approved?

You just visit the Easy Financing website and click on the Apply Now button and fill out the quick application – within minutes, it’s in the hands of one of the fully trained credit staff to review.

How soon can I expect an answer?

Once we receive your supporting documents, conditional approval can often be given within a few hours.

When will I have my funds?

If there are no delays in sending the documents we need, you can have the money in your bank account within 24 hours, often much sooner.

How much can I get?

The minimum amount for a loan is $300 but you may qualify for up to $5,000.

Can I get turned down?

We don’t offer a guaranteed loan so it is possible to be turned down. While we seek to work with everyone we can, you must have the ability to repay the loan to be accepted.

Will you do a credit check?

We assess each application individually and do not always need to do a credit check. Generally if your income is sufficient we do not undertake a credit check. That’s because we look more at your ability to repay the loan and your current financial situation not what it was 5 years ago.

What types of income do you require?

You will need to provide proof of income but it can be part-time, full-time, or self-employment income. As long as you show that you are bringing in money from somewhere, this income will be considered.

What supporting documents do I need to produce to be approved for a personal loan?

We require a recent bank statement, 2 recent payments, proof of your address (such as a utility bill) and your ID (such as your drivers licence, passport or birth certificate). If you are unsure as to what documents are required you can give a call on 800 449 762 and one of our representatives will be happy to help. You can upload the documents during your application or you can simply scan and email then to us at info@easyfinancing.co.nz.

I just paid my last loan repayment. When can I apply for another loan?

First, congratulations on repaying the loan! It usually takes two (2) full business days before your bank will confirm with us that your payment has cleared. However, do not let that stop you from making another request right now. That way, you can receive your new loan the moment that the bank clears your final repayment.

What happens if I cannot pay back on the due date?

Sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making a payment on the agreed upon date. First, remember that the costs associated with your loans do not increase unless you fail to contact us two (2) full business days before your next direct debit. Even if you fail to contact before you your direct debit is due, contact us as soon as possible so that we can work something out.

  • If the direct debit is declined –In this event, not only are you responsible for a $35 failed payment fee by us, but you may also have to pay your bank a dishonour fee. If we agree to reschedule your payment for a later date, the $35 still applies.
  • What happens if you do not pay –In the event that you fail to contact us and the direct debit is declined, we consider your account overdue. From here, your account is passed to our Repayments Team. Our Repayments Team will attempt to contact you through SMS, email, and telephone to set up an affordable payment plan for the remaining payments owed.
  • Still cannot contact you? – In the event that our Repayments Team is unable to contact you, we reserve the right to contact an external collections partner and pass on your account. In the event this occurs, please keep in mind that we may place a default on your credit file. This could harm your credit history and for upwards of five (5) years.
